The Day We Have All Been Dreading

I woke up this morning at 11:23am. As usual, I had forgotten to close the blinds last night so the morning light made a strange aura directly upon my face, making it hard for me to go back to sleep. I sat up and reached for my phone, out of habit, to check my texts, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat... But as I moved to grab my glasses from the desk counter, it hit me that I still need to complete those last minute assignments, work-study forms and errands before classes start tomorrow. Needless to say, I collapsed back into bed and woke up an hour later. For anyone who has ever dreaded going to class, work, a meeting... you have all felt exactly what I am describing now. Later in the afternoon, I realized that in addition to needing to complete my last minute assignments, work-study forms and errands, I had purchased the wrong edition of a textbook for one of my classes and would have to go back to the NYU bookstore to exchange it. Dear readers, procrastination is never the answer. However, if you're anything like me, procrastination is somehow always the answer.

I managed to complete most of my errands including buying a printer with the suitemate, getting school supplies and (thankfully) purchasing the right textbook. For my outfit today I chose my black tank top, which had gotten a little frayed in the wash last weekend, denim shorts and my new Free People "Strappy Back Bra". The weather was a thousand times better today, mostly because it didn't start pouring out of nowhere.

For dinner, we went to the Palladium dining hall where I got spicy salmon sushi for the third time this week. NYU dorm food is seriously the best; I am living the dream.

Well, with the little amount of sleep I got last night and the looming mini-essay I must write for class tomorrow about The Honor Code, I should probably end my post here. Much love to you all; I hope everyone's last day of summer was filled with preparation, relaxation and little complication.
