The World In Words: Saying Goodbye

(Photo taken at OPUS 51 on Gansevoort St.)

Saying Goodbye
Saying goodbye doesn't get easier with time.
Although you left two hours ago, you remain present and alive in my mind.
I can sense you everywhere: on my hair and my shirt and my pillows.
Even on the sweater you left by my desk and the messy sheets on my bed.
Until May 22nd, pictures, scents and a phone call are as close as I will get to you
so, I will scroll through pictures, wear your sweater and call you whenever I can.
For now, we'll say goodbye.
