Soho, Sandals and Scrambled Eggs

I hope everyone had a productive weekend studying. I spent this Saturday walking around Chinatown, attending a sorority picnic, shopping (instead of studying) and of course, enjoying the sunny outdoors. Soho during the spring is absolutely gorgeous. Not only is the weather fantastic, but New York City's scenery is so colorful with lush greens and pink and purple flowers in bloom. On Sunday, we had a lazy brunch at Freemans Restaurant, which is hidden in a magical little alleyway surrounded by vines and beautifully-hung string lights. In my first outfit, I am wearing a Forever 21 lace blouse, jeans, tote bag, Old Navy jacket and Aerosoles sandals.

For brunch, I had the "Poached Eggs with Tomato Stewed Kale crispy shallots & hollandaise sauce over sourdough toast" while my big Ayaka tried the "Skillet Eggs, Bacon, Spinach, Grits & Cheddar buttered sourdough toast". Our meals were delicious and filling, but our drinks were a bit strong--we ordered two glasses of "Belle Wattling"--probably because they were under cocktails that are "dark and complex". I'm only realizing our mistake now, since I'm reading the menu for the second time online... Oops.

In my second outfit, I am wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch camisole, cardigan and skirt from LF, Forever 21 tote bag, Naot sandals and jewelry by Oberon Design. May is the perfect month to visit New York City, as the weather warms up to the high 80s and 90s pretty quickly by the end of the month. Wishing everyone good luck on their finals and a quick reminder to take breathers here and there; go outside, relax in the park and enjoy the weather before it heats up!
