Snowed In

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great Monday so far. I've been so busy preparing to move back to NYC that I haven't even had time to check Blogger. Here's a quick recap of the past few days: I flew into Newark on Friday morning and am currently staying with my roommate in Brooklyn. Why am I staying in Brooklyn and not Manhattan, you ask? Well, unfortunately, Newark wasn't the only thing I flew into last week; I also made it just in time for one of the most severe blizzards to ever hit New York.

Last Saturday's blizzard, Jonas, managed to give us 26.8 inches of snow, just shy of the record (26.9 inches) in 2006. So for the past couple of days, I've been watching movies, drinking hot chocolate and staying cozy in my roommate's place. We stepped outside the house for probably a total of 30 minutes over the course of three days in order to walk the dog, make snow angels and take some pictures. Otherwise, we spent our weekend indoors. Also, because of this crazy blizzard from hell, my roommate and I haven't been able to move in yet!! I'm writing this blog update from my soon-to-be-dorm lobby, but as of now, we can't move into housing until NYU readies our dorm room. Today was our first day of classes, and I'm still technically homeless in NYC... *Falls face first into snow.* Happy Monday!
